About Macey

Macey Rewis is a born & raised Savannah, Ga, artist inspired by coastal scenes, stillness, and faith. Her work moves between intricate watercolor studies of marine life to large-scale acrylic landscapes. She invites viewers to pause, breathe, and step into the quiet beauty of the natural world.

How fishing fueled my love for painting

Ever since I could walk i remember days spent in the boat fishing with my father just taking in everything around me. As I got older and could catch fish myself, I was hooked.

But it wasn't until Highschool art class when I first discovered watercolor(my favorite medium). That's also when i painted my first blue crab and won an honorable mention at Armstrong University's Spring Art Show in 2016.

Since then, I've kept experimenting, exploring, fishing, and shrimping for all sorts of painting inspiration. I'm now a wife and a mother to a wonderful baby girl that keeps me busy!

The Beauty found outside makes me speechless and I cant wait to see more and paint more!
