#1 Start with a Plan:
    • Assess Needs: Determine what you need to store or display. Consider both functional items you use daily and decorative pieces.
    • Measure Space: Know the dimensions of your shelves to plan how much you can fit.
    #2 Use a Neutral Base:
      • Choose a Palette: Stick with neutral colors for larger items or the base of your display. This creates a cohesive look and makes it easier to mix in colorful or patterned pieces.
      • Stained wood shelving with a “weathered white” wall color so I can use my décor to add color and dimension.

#3 Mix Functional and Decorative Items:
          • Books: Stack some horizontally and some vertically to add visual interest.
          • Baskets and Boxes: Use these for a tidy look while storing items like remotes, magazines, or small office supplies. I love the look of these enclosed baskets!

          #4 Add Texture and Layers:
            • Vary Heights: Use books, boxes, and stands to create different levels. This adds dimension and keeps the display engaging.
            • Vases, Sculptures, and Plants: These add life and character. A few well-chosen objects can enhance the style without overwhelming the space.

#5 Include Art and Personal Touches:
              • Artwork: Small framed art pieces or prints can add personality. I’ve just added the cutest small framed pieces to my website for shelf styling!
